John Waite joined onstage by Eddie Van Halen

BTW, in case the text in the clipping isn't clear on your browser, it says:

Edward Van Halen Gets A Hair Cut
Everyone's favorite riff master, Edward Van Halen (left) jumped up on stage with the John Waite Band last month in L.A.  Sporting his new sheared look, ol' Eddie jammed with guitarist Earl Slick (eyeing Van Halen's fingers) while Waite (mike in hand) sang "Missing You." Carmine Rojas (far right) provided the rhythm groove.   That same night, Van Halen also added some hot licks to Patty Smythe and Scandal--co-headliner on the bill.  Photo: Chris Walter/Photofeatures

OK, now, I'm all for discussing rock star hair <g>, but here is JOHN WAITE on stage, and yet Eddie's new hairdo is the thing that gets mentioned in the headline???!  Sheesh!  No respect, no respect at all...

This show has shown up as a bootleg CD recording.  The packaging on this bootleg is unintentionally hilarious, it's so filled with errors.   Check this out:

Uh, yeah, that's a Bad English-era picture of John on a No Brakes-era bootleg!

Thanks to Ed for the bootleg scans.

Ooooh!  What's this?  "Crying Over You"???  "Sheila"???  Are these never-before-heard John Waite songs?!  Hardly.  "Crying Over You" is really "Tears" and "Sheila" is really "Euroshima"! LOL!
