Rejected Cover Art

(Item courtesy of an eBay seller. Please
visit the seller's current auctions.)
Ultra rare! I had never even seen or heard about this picture until it popped up on eBay in Sept 2000. This picture supposedly was considered for an early Babys album cover. I'm guessing that it was considered for Head First since the guys are in "the head." If it was for Head First, then it didn't get used since Michael was no longer in the band when the album was released.
Photo is NOT matted...the black shading on the sides is part of the photo art, as if the viewer was looking through a peephole. Note the set of feminine feet in Tony's stall!
This one comes courtesy of Wouter in the Netherlands, who is arguably the biggest JW fan on the planet. It's an audio file of "Yesterday's Hero" as sung by minor 70s rock star Paul Nicholas. (Remember him in the Sgt. Pepper movie??) John Waite would get a hold of "Yesterday's Hero" and turn it into "Back on My Feet Again," which became a huge hit for The Babys.

Babys Ads
Yes, Virginia, there was a time when a new
release or tour by John Waite and company would actually get a lot of print ad support.
And not just tiny ads either, we're talking FULL PAGE! Here's a
sampling of some ads from The Babys era.
